A Poem I Was Trying To Write- Ποίημα Να Γράψω Προσπαθούσα
A poem I was trying to write
I couldn't find a verse
Failed to make a rhyme!
So I built a cage of smoke
threw some seeds of color in
and waited for the words to fall
Days and nights have passed
not a single letter in my trap
I maybe ain't a poet
but I have a beautiful beard!
Ποίημα να γράψω προσπαθούσα
μα να 'βρω στίχο δε μπορούσα
Ρίμα να κάνω, ουτ' αστείο
Φτιάχνω λοιπόν κλουβί καπνού
και ρίχνω χρωματόσπορους μέσα του
κι αναμένω τις λέξεις να πιαστούν
Μέρες και νύχτες προσπερνούν
μα τα γράμματα πού να παγιδευτούν
Ποιητής να μην έγινα μπορεί
μα έχω γενειάδα λαμπερή

Sometimes it so happens! Our mind may be filled with ideas, but words cannot be aligned in proper rhyme. This writer's block is something experienced by all poets. Well expressed!
