A Poet's Note Two (Lago Tarantella) Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

A Poet's Note Two (Lago Tarantella)

(dedicated to C.P Sharma, a poet friend at poemhunter)

intimate surrounds
a luxurious canopy
thousands candles
on the white sands

a garden full of geraniums
butterflies dance beautifully
I wander near its clear fountain
I scoop up a jug of its fresh water

towards a wooden balcony
sunset casts its warm touch
imbued with sounds of breeze
rushing flow of water from afar
