A Silly Poem Poem by Shaun Cronick

A Silly Poem

Rating: 5.0

I love to write silly poems,
Well no change there then.
Don't take myself too seriously,
When writing with my pen.

I'll never be Keats or Byron,
A Wilcox or Shakespeare too.
I do though give a monkeys,
In doing what I do.

I'll start with just a phrase,
Or just some words at random.
And build a poem around them,
But with a rhyme in tandem.

A famous literary great,
I know I'll never be.
If you read a silly poem,
You must be reading me.

I'll start with just a phrase, Or just some words at random. And build a poem around them, .... that is what the famous modern poets do Excellent

Very nice poem Shaun! I'll try and keep my comments brief due to this dumb website's lack of appreciation of the flow of words. Sometimes it's good to compose silly poems as well as serious ones...I say let a thousand flowers bloom. Anyway it's a trite and terffic ten from me!
