A Thousand Years More Poem by Reshma Ramesh

A Thousand Years More

Rating: 3.5

I have lived life a thousand years
at that one moment
when i hid in our arms,
as i looked in your eyes,
i saw a million doves
in flight towards peace
and all that had to be said and
realized now unknown
all the memories of yesterday
faded into the oblivious
if i had another moment
only if i had another minute
to be loved like you loved
me yesterday
then i would have lived a
thousand years more
i would have died a
thousand deaths more.

Surely you must be a romantic. Nicely penned and it reminds us all of how we are to love, feel secure when we embrace our soul mate.

When i hid in our arms- when i hid in your arms the expression of the sexual love is well deep rooted as pictured in the poem. shan

Reshma, Do let me know when your book is out, I will buy a copy, hopefully signed by you :) You are an exotic poet. The words just overflow with sensuousness. The poem on your Orkut Profile is outstanding too. I wish I had some of your experiences, would love to write somewhat like you some day. God bless.
