A Time Long Ago Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

A Time Long Ago

Rating: 5.0

Where the wild flowers grew,
Of ever changing hue,
That was the place,
Where I walked with you.

Where the sun shone like gold,
Thoughts of time went astray,
For we lived in the moment,
Lost in the day.

Butterflies danced freely,
In the bright morning air,
As we walked together,
It felt good to be there.

And as the sun faded,
We'd head off for home,
Those gentle reminders,
Of a time long ago.

Whimsical and gently nostalgic. A great read.
