A Touch Of Nostalgia Poem by David Harris

A Touch Of Nostalgia

Rating: 5.0

When I was young,
I often wandered off on my own,
my eyes exploring everything I saw
and filed it away in my memory store.
Now as I’ve got older
those insignificant things
come back to me now and then.
They fill my life with sanity
when I think I’m going around the bend.
Some of those things
I incorporate in whatever I write.
A touch of nostalgia
for others who remember them as well.

Childhood Adventures, when the world seems so great, over every hill a new adventure, sadly that does not last when you learn the true nature of life... Andy 10

As one gets older one tends to leave these explorations behind, but one shouldn't really, the joy of recapturing is something else.! ! ! ! ! Lovely words. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
