Well captured experience of cold indifference and painful goodbye!
Its so sad when lovers drift apart. The final three lines are very meaningful and deep.
'Utter indifference and deafening silence' is a horrific tragic extremely painful stoney indictment, signaling a separation of depression darkness, endlessly endured in an emptiness void, deep scared searching out reasons for hateful words hurled, that can never be recalled unsaid.
In this line 'and defeaning silence', I think you mean 'deafening'.
Sometimes, what hurts the most is not the act of oppressor but the indifference of the bystanders.
Much more than words. Bare feelings felt deep down in a hurt soul with indescribable pain that will last forever. Very impressive piece because it also reaches us with its painful immensity so hard to transmit, but that will be remembered by all that read this sad yet magnificent work!
An insightful poem that captures the depth of painful indifference and goodbyes.......10
