# A Visit Poem by Mamta Agarwal

# A Visit

Rating: 2.8

suddenly woken from sleep
are those tiny feet
running on my roof top?

who is dancing and giggling
and gurgling...fully awake,
I smile, its the rain
What took me
so long to recognise....

my childhood friend
nodding, i smiled
and opened the window
to let it in
and wet my face
with kisses...

the routineness of uneventful lives distances us from simple pleasures...and the re-discovery is heart filling!

redirected thoughts onto a clear rendering of rain; little steps on the roof. so, so tender; turning a dream into kisses. Great, Mamta

Ohhh... This is just beautiful sagacity To consider Rain... your friend. My dear poet... I have similar thoughts in my poem Rain, You Make me Reborn. Who can be lonely Under the shower of Rain, so lovely? It starts with the tapping sound And awakens you It converts to music And entertains you At times it roars with lights And frighten you But forever it soothes To be friendly with you. Your few lines of this poem Gathered so much of thoughts in me. Nicely written.
