Against The Faiding Light Poem by Rose Marie Juan-austin

Against The Faiding Light

Rating: 5.0

The silver of the sea
rolled back and forth,
breathing through its mists
that clung to our faces,
teasing our feet with its spray.

We smiled and laughed,
memorizing every detail
of our faces
as the setting sun wrapped us
in its warmth.

The glowing rays--
holding every color of the rainbow--
struck our eyes.
We silently wondered
how many more times
we would share these moments
before Time and Fate
pulled us apart.

We prayed:
For another long epoch,
and that fate
would fall in our favor.

Beautiful tribute love poem with such great vivid imagery. As I was reading it, a few romance movies kept popping up in my mind.

What a wonderfully beautiful and romantic work! You paint such a lovely and emotional scene in this poem, it makes the reader feel like they are right there as well, feeling the spray and basking in the warmth of their true lover's love! Masterfully painted! Thank you so much for sharing this!

But we have hope in Christ... that this present darkness will not endure and that, for those of us in Christ, fate will ultimately fall in our favour.

A vibrant poem, full of the light and warmth and beauty of a past age... of a time of peace when all seemed right. It makes me sad and happy all at once, recalling similar memories to my own mind, of brighter, kinder days.
