An Email To Emily Dickinson Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

An Email To Emily Dickinson

Rating: 5.0

Emily---
Presently I wasn't thinking of you
I have forgotten to write today
But there wasn't anything to report
I see a letter in my inbox
And it's from you
As I question what's inside
i wondered what was yr life truly like
Sincerely Yours

An ingeniously clever way to fuse poetry and sentiment into a tribute poem to a great poetess.

I just recently learned that E.D. wrote most of her work on scraps of paper for her own amusement. It was her sister who put it all together to publish her poems. She died before she was famous

Extremely touching and unique. Poetry and sentiment, at its peak. Great feeling and poetry go further, taking meaning and feeling to Soul's peak!
