Anderson Dccclxix Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Beautifully haunting are yr eyes
As the blue skies turn grey
Going nowhere, I seek nothing
I wanted to write poetry
And travel to recite it
Though, it is a lofty existence
That I desire
I lived against the rocks of reality
But you made me want to sing again
Yr soft, pale skin and blue eyes
Is what I crave
However, you are worldly
And I am backward
You're always two steps forward
And I trip on my feet
As I put them in my mouth

Lovely poem LeeAnn, I often get tongue tied probably because I put my foot in it first.

Elegantly composed. The sense of inadequacy in a relationship is so common. I am sure most of the people can relate to it.

LeeAnn, honour the relationship that you had by following through with your beautiful dream. That way, you'll be two steps forward. And most definitely...on your true path! The main impetus for change in your life has been in writing poetry like this insightful one.
