Apparitions Or Not? Poem by Tex T Sarnie

Apparitions Or Not?

Rating: 5.0

An apparition has just appeared and he is trying to persuade me
to accept his offer of the best of days to come, with a guarantee.
He knows that I am a Godless, selfish, reprobate, and so do I,
but for some unknown reason, he hungers for my soul when I die.

On consideration, I will not miss my soul when I am dead.
Where is my soul now, is it in my body, or in my head?
Logically thinking if I am unaware of its existence today,
then why should I bother, and just sign it away?

Another apparition has appeared, in a glow of brightest gold.
Informing me that my soul should not be exchanged, or sold.
A person has a soul that becomes enriched throughout their days,
it partners their spirit and they should remain together always.

If they are apart they will be subjected to the evilest extremes,
so think before you give your soul away for your earthly dreams.
The evil apparition knows that there is an eternity of life after death,
and you will be signing away your soul and spirit on your last breath.

Please, think again, it is not too late to change your negative ways,
and it is indeed possible that you could still see much better days.
Positive actions in your mind and body are really all that it takes
to allow you to move on from all your regrettable past mistakes.

Both apparitions faded from view and I have no idea where they went.
I do actually believe what I saw and heard, but from where were they sent?
This inexplicable situation is doing my head in, am I going insane?
Should I seriously consider my options, or is this some kind of sick game?

My thoughts and considerations are swirling, furiously around in my head.
Should I be concerned for my unknown soul, especially when I am dead?
Flashing, horrific, images are bringing unexplainable torment to my mind,
could it possibly be true that there is life after death of some unknown kind?

Good and evil abound in this world today, but what about at the end?
How can we possibly trust what we are told, who is a foe, or a friend?
Do apparitions really exist? Did two opposing ones just talk with me?
If they did, will they return? I don't know, I'll just have to wait and see.

ithout warning, you decided to stab me
