As One Little Snowflake Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

As One Little Snowflake

Rating: 5.0

As one little snowflake does float down so gently
Then rests on the pavement so frozen and bare,
It dwells all-alone through the depths of December
And toils through the hardship for no one does care.

Awaiting the springtime to melt in the sunlight
To turn into water and run to a stream,
For then it will flow to a river and ocean
And then shall feel wanted and part of a dream.

A sense of belonging to join in a union
And then form the waves that shall roll to the shore,
Whilst movingin motion will glisten like diamonds
And yet it must wait for the winter to thaw.

So there it must rest on the pavement unnoticed
Just watching the people each day passing by,
Just longing for friendship it's not much to ask for
Yet nobody stops where the snowflake does lie.

This is very sweet Andrew. A dear little snowflake the reader wants to pick up and take home. It would make a beautiful children's story - illustrated of course. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Andrew, never question your abillities, just write, then read them Love duncan X Awaiting the springtime To thaw in the sunlight To then turn to water And melt to a stream, Where it can flow to The river and ocean And then to feel wanted And part of a dream. There to belong to And join with the others And making the waves that Shall roll to the shore, While ebbing and moving To glisten like diamonds And sharing a love that Shall last evermore.

I agree to the comment of Ma’am Bonnie Collins…your closely associate nature with the sentiments of men, a perfect relation with beautiful nature imagery with snow flakes, crystals shinning like diamonds.., reminds me of ‘BIRCHES’ of Frost. Well composed, every stanza enriched with attractive imagery… **Abha**
