Aurora the dawning
The beautiful morning
As sun gently shines through the trees,
The clouds lit with gold
And their colours unfold
As they sail through the air on the breeze.
As darkness is ending
The sun is ascending
And casting its light on the land,
What greatness I see
As the day comes to be
And I capture the scene in my hand.
As the birds start to sing
A sweet joy they do bring
To the dawn and its marvellous show,
As I look on this day
And its wondrous display
Where my dreams shall eternally flow.
Aurora the dawning
The beautiful morning
As shadows are lit by the sun,
The chorus of pleasure
I witness this treasure
As now the new day has begun.
Another wonderful poem by you Andrew depicting the beginning of another day, excellent work, 10 Lynda xx
Andrew you describe nature so beautifully, so naturally. Brillient work.
Aurora the dawning The beautiful morning As shadows are lit by the sun, The chorus of pleasure I witness this treasure For now the new day has begun. Every part of this poem has a wonderful flow and content, this however is my favourite part, it pulled it all together beautifully Love duncan X
Andrew, this is lovely. It reads like a hymn of praise and offers a beautiful non-theistic salutation to the beauty of life and the joy of witnessing each new day.. As usual your rhythm and rhyming is impeccable and your phrasing spot on. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I enjoyed this very much, it never ceses to amaze me how you can make a simple begining of any poem and turn it into a sonet.... This is beautifull and fille with so much imagery and colour...... Once again an exceptional write from an exceptional poet.... Bonnie

Your Aurora is similar to the beginning of my poem The Day Break! I appreciate that you have a wonderful taste for the beauty of Nature. Wish you all the best for depicting the beauty of Nature in as many poems as possible!
