Autumn Poem by Reva Kern

Autumn

In the mist
A bandy farmer
With his ox
Walked slowly
In the autumn fog
Which shamelessly covered
The poor hamlet -

And as they went,
The farmer hummed
A song about love
About infidelity
Which spoke about
A broken ring
And a broken heart -

Autumn, Autumn
Brought death to summer -
In the fog
Trudged two grey silhouettes.
