Autumn - Poem by Elina Majumdar

Adrift, adrift,
The golden leaves
Upon the golden hour -
Hushed memories of summer dreams,
Wild burst of thousand flowers...

Adrift, adrift,
The winter leaves
Upon a foot loose breeze -
A golden haze of light and shade,
My treasured memories...

A sigh suppressed,
A wistful heart,
Perchance a smile, a tear -
A gentle hand will gather them
And weave them year to year.
