Awaiting Easter Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Awaiting Easter

Rating: 5.0

the world was disappointed,
no greatest miracles happened,

He just hung there on the cross,
is this correct?

everyone withdrew,
turned their backs on him,

before he breathed his last,
He spoke to God:

My God, my God,
why have You forsaken me?

The earth got very dark, great lightning bolts
and fierce thunderclaps succeeded each other,

the great curtain in the synagogue was completely torn
this happened in the year 33.

We thank God because, he does greatest miracles and full stars bloom in sky. His love we feel. We get joy. We are really waiting for Easter. Earth gains light by God's grace. An excellent poem is well written.
