Siva and Vishnu leave the baby
In the forest.
The baby born of Siva and Vishnu
Had a precious gem on his neck.
Hence, the child was named
As Manikanta.
The Gods leave the baby
In the forest,
where so many dramatic episodes
took place.
Interestingly, they happened between
Gods, humans and demons.
Siva and Vishnu returned to their heavenly abode.
Siva back with his beautiful consort Parvati,
Vishnu back with his dazzling wife Lakshmi.
They knew Manikanta would be taken care of.
Manikanta was a powerful incarnation,
To redeem the world of evil and sins of Kaliyuga.
Meanwhile, the king of Panthala,
An unhappy, childless King,
Goes hunting in the forest.
The cry of the baby attracts him.
He spots the baby lying helpless without a guardian.
The king picks up the divine baby and carries him to his kingdom.
The Panthala King embraces the baby,
A gift from the heavens!
The Gods had, at last,
Answered his prayers!
The king had an heir to his throne.
He wiped away tears of joy.
In the kingdom of Panthala,
There is merriment and jubilance,
To mark the coming of a baby.
The people expressed their happiness
Through a dance of ‘Kummi' - a group dance,
Full of vibrant movements, hand claps, joy and merriment!
