Rames ji, You have highlighted an important issue that is slowly spreading like cancer in our Society! That 'greed' factor has surfaced once more! This capital city of Delhi is perhaps leading in bride burning & greed score! Also over the years both patience & tolerance spans have drastically reduced! marriage signifies union/unity while divorce signifies break ups... marriage is a sacred commitment where man and woman bound as one divorce is the only way to legalize 'separation' marriage needs contracts like divorce too... divorce is quiet good to couples who are not living happily that is the only advantage to go in separate ways.... now adays divorce is rampant especially to socialites it is accepted to some countries but some, it is against their culture.. if there's no love, do couples live happily? so before getting married, , , think twice and think many times''if the relation will not end in separation? ....well...love conquers all...it rules but it is not demanding...your piece is very nice, , i have so many things to say..so nice, interesting and debatable...cheers...smileeeeeeeeeee..kisesssssssss

Purely by the capitalised letters in the title it is obvious your discontent of how society leans these day and your sentiments are well founded but very often when young we choose the dead opposite to what we should, a kind of rebellious streak and sometimes people find themselves married to an ogre and should they stay for statistics even if their children are suffering watching violence (plz note this is not my personal experience but of loved ones and friends around me....) the ideal of marriage is a wonderful concept if two well rounded people of giving natures meet but if one is not, the other should not have to stay to keep outsiders happy...thanks for a controversial write which ruffles the feathers and grey matter combined...tyvm karen

Dear Shri Ramesh avl., This malady in the society is as old as 20 years. Now this trend has taken several uglier shapes, like 'living together', 'pub culture'.
