External beauty we see
varies due to structural variations
in eyes and angle of vision,
is skin deep, transient, virtual,
can become ugly
in a moment by scratches
of a single thorn.
Inner beauty is real, inherent
in every thing
of whole creation,
remains constant
in total life span,
every body perceives it
differently due to variation
in thinking and consideration.
No two leaves of a tree
are exactly alike,
all double organs
on both sides of the
longitudinal mid line
are never identical,
even both eyes and
brain hemispheres
of man although
we exhibit bilateral symmetry.
Subtle differences do exist,
result in differences
of our vision altogether.
Biological dissimilarities
can not be obviated,
thoughts in mind
can be changed
if sincerely tried.
Optimism can visualize beauty,
as an optimist sees
handles and hinges in doors,
Pessimist can not
manifest beauty,
sees only locks and latches.
An encompassing and discerning write on beauty. Another well crafted poem of great insight.
Your initial appreciation and encouragement were instrumental to pen my further experience in PH Sir.Grateful to u.
No two leaves of a tree are exactly alike....even a tree can bear two different varieties of fruits. A meaningful poem....appreciated the underlying philosophy. Full marks! !
