Beauty And The Body - Poem by Khairul Ahsan

When the body was strong and stout,
The mind was soft and fickle,
It was indifferent to seeking beauty.
It was complacent.

When the mind is eager and strong,
To appreciate and glorify beauty,
The body gives in, but it is the mind
That matters.

A beautiful mind when it is, it is happy in appreciating beauty (inner) even the body does not know then.

Yourself being a teenager, you've described their emotions so well!

Thought provoking... Beauty is skin deep I think. A beautiful mind seeks beauty within itself and that's true beauty- Wisdom. (Report) Reply

You are right, but I would not give my wisdom now for the beauty I was once, because I can see how naive, fearful and timid I was in that time. I treasure the wisdom and strength what I have now. (Report) Reply

Haha very true. A lot of food for thought in only a few words. Yes I think beauty is everywhere in everything, suppose it is not hard for a strong mind to be one beauty of a kind. Thank you for share, a good poem. (Report) Reply
