Orpheus Kiln

Between A Dark Night - Poem by Orpheus Kiln

Someone cries
Someone tries
To escape from this dark night
Between her thighs
His lips he hides
Can he escape from her dark weary fly?
He doesn’t know, he doesn’t owe
The sacred sanction, of his holy vow
Untested memories, of his unbreakable oath
Now he wants to run away, to find the day
But he can’t die, he is immortal, he splits his eye
Damns his body, damns his soul
Returns to grave, but he is still cool
Tomorrow again will rise through the night
To live again, to take part in the perpetual fight
