Blind Faith Poem by Bill Cantrell

Blind Faith

Rating: 5.0

Cast your net upon the heart,
Emotions caught within the deep
What swims beneath the sleeping sea,
Is a siren calling for you and me

When we fall to slumber,
She is perched upon the edge of our heart
Singing wants and desires obscene,
A do not disturb sign placed on our dream

So it goes with those buried at sea
No tombstone is placed above their grave
All hope is taken along with our name
Things cannot possibly be the same

And when the tides go to changing
She regurgitates the things we have done
What swam beneath the sleeping sea,
A reflection of what we refused to see

It has begun well... Cast your net upon the heart, Emotions caught within the deep... and carries thru the theme very subtly. A great piece of poetry as Nosheen Irfan said.
