Blood On Your Hands Poem by Practicing Poetess

Blood On Your Hands

Rating: 5.0

Blood on your hands. Dripping.
Is it yours, or your victim's?
Did the knife slip, and
Did you accidentally cut yourself?
Better make no mistake.
If it's yours,
That's DNA evidence
Which can be used against you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A little venture into the macabre.
Totally out-of-character for me!
I suppose I have been watching too many "Forensic Files" lately!
But, it doesn't hurt to occasionally veer from your usual writing style.

I like your new style. Very clever. Reminds of the TV series HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. Missed reading you. Great poem!

Thanks so much, Richard. It's great to be missed. I'm on and off here, depending upon the demands of " real life." WARNING: Do not watch " How to get away with murder" just before bedtime!

Changing it up a bit is very good. DNA will get you every time. Provided of course if they know who you are. I liked this.

Thanks, Ray. Ah, DNA. They must already have the unsub's DNA on file. Or else, they must catch him first, and try to sneak a sample from him, usually a saliva sample from a cup he drank from, or a cigarette that he smoked.
