I came across a book yesterday
At age seventy, late in life
On my way home
From a poetry meet
I stopped at the Book Garden
Located in Bountiful, "Land of Zion".
Browsing in the poetry section,
A wonderful find!
Titled: "The Best-Loved Poems of
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis"
Selected and Introduced by
Caroline Kennedy
A lovely book
Filled with poems and photos
Of a time
Not so long ago
This book
A MUST read
For every poet
Whether, young or old
Today, my good friend Kim Barney, fellow poet, chess player, and friend uploaded a photo to this poem. It was taken outside our favorite Bountiful book store. We had just stopped there after our monthly meeting of the Rhyme and Reason Chapter of the Utah State Poetry Society.
Wish I could get a copy of the book. Nicely done. Loved the style you have told the story.Thanks.
if it is a MUST Read, send it to me when you're done with it. Thanks. What? ! you think i should buy it? ? ! ! ! bri ;) but, seriously, thanks for the tip. i rarely crack a book of poetry, but i did look through an old (not too old) large anthology of children's poems last year. i found many not to my liking, and some i thought a bit 'mature' for children's enjoyment. but some were lovely.
A Beautifully Spirited Heart Warming Poem! ! ! ! ! And Recommendation! ! ! ! ! Thank You Ever So Much For Sharing This! ! ! ! !
What a treasure you have found in the Book Garden. I often find amazing books in the opportunity shops. There is a great Poetry Club in Perth in a Pub, where anyone can read poetry and there are always fun guest speakers. Thank you for your Book Review.

Sounds fascinating, Hank! You will have to show me that book when I am back in the state again. Who were some of Jackie's favorite poets?
