Broken Orchid Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Broken Orchid

Rating: 5.0

I've broken the orchid
Though it still lives
But seeing the cut; makes me blue
I have been taking care of it since May
Watering it every other week
Hoping it would bloom more flowers
Of radiant purple like a queen's coat
But I was disappointed when I got leaves instead
Now, I fear the loss of the orchid
Since it has inspired my great works
Of art and poetry

I know what you mean, I have an orchid that has survived and I'm hoping it will bloom. TFS
