Camouflage Poem by Mihaela Pirjol

Camouflage

Rating: 4.1

The camouflagic sadness of a smile—

the corpse of a murdered dream,

unwilling to be buried;

the ignored odours of slow putrefaction,

roaming and haunting—

mocking the present

with thrilling memories

of a ravishing romance...

you search and scrutinise the mirror

for its traces, but the traces of time...

and the camouflagic sadness of your smile,

it stares back at you

as a crepuscule moth

and makes you cry...

the fountain of a desert heart—

the splendour of madness in love...

Severe feelings. A heart that wanders in the desert and looks in the mirror, and only sees a smile of sorrow. You play with words like singing Fado.

The way of presentation is very nice. The title of the poem is appropriate. Love with sadness and camouflagic sadness of a smile are well painted. Beautiful poem.10
