The sky's visage
Changed, as if by magic
From sunny flamboyance
To dark cloudy fury
Before we could find shelter
The skies fell asunder
Raining down wrath
Of unappeased gods
Caught in the storm
Drenched to the bone
We laughed at ourselves
And at each other.

It's a pleasure to be caught in storm and the poetess has nicely penned this pleasure.
You know how to set a stage- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The sky's visage Changed, as if by magic From sunny flamboyance To dark cloudy fury- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The first 3 words nailed my attention to this piece, knowing excellence was being proffered. Who but a creative writer would think of saying visage- -the perfect word- - -in this spot? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Then you utilize weather words to increase the atmospheric setting of your piece- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - From sunny flamboyance To dark cloudy fury- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I can see the visage of that sky change. You took me there! Your second stanza? Yes, many of us have been caught out in the rain but you have put us back in that fix. And what do you do with us? You create joy in us, dripping wet, we stand in our leaky shelter laughing at ourselves and each other. Excellent. You made not only my lips to smile but my heart to laugh. Thank you, thank you, thank you.10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and a place on my fav poems list.
May it rain cats and dogs Let us through all it laugh A storm is a beauty That the skies breath only rarely Let us therefore enjoy. And I enjoyed your poem, Nosheen! (10)
Let the storm create havoc and let our strength rejoice it's grandeur. Beautiful thought with positive ending. Simply 10 for laughing it out.
And so is the life it catches you many times on wrong foot and by surprise, the ups and downs, the lows and highs, the emotional turmoils and swings of happiness, all do come with many surprises...aren't they! The storm is a symbolic philosophy that makes us drive each time every day and like sudden changes (of Nature) we humans do have the same tendency to laugh while cry and cry while laugh.
That happens to everyone at least once. I love poems about simple universal experiences such as this. See mine titled It Wasn't Too Surprising on a very similar topic.
