Certainty Poem by April Monroe

Certainty

Rating: 4.5

Time goes by and yet we pray,
"Dear Lord don't take me today."
We know it passes and never ceases
And still we yell, "But I've got reasons! "
Here we stand, hoping for joys
That passes to our young boys.
Not knowing that when it all ends,
We ourselves our only friends.
So I'll stand here all alone,
Alone, as time has always shown.

Excellent poem, believe in the Lord and have constant trust. Man proposes, God disposes, but He promised a life with Love if we are loyal to Him. I have enjoyed very much this thought provoking poem. I cite your first lines: Time goes by and yet we pray, Dear Lord don't take me today. This is brilliantly worded. Keep the ink flowing, dear Poetess. God's Blessings be in Abundance for you and your beloved family. A 10+++++++++++++++++++for the votings.
