Cherries Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Cherries

Rating: 5.0

Yeah I have eaten the cherries
You have hidden in the cupboard
Probably for some guests

Yeah they were so sweet
I finished all and wished I could
Have more of them

Yeah you must look for them
When your guests will arrive
And I will keep my mouth shut

Next time you should hide them
In the fridge and let me keep guessing

Brings back memories, so many of us have done things like this, reminded me instantly of the poem 'This Is Just To Say', by William Carlos Williams. That poem is a note of apology, but finishes with the biting boast of how delicious, sweet and cold the plums were.

Great wit and humour. It's a new genre you have tried and you have done justice. Enjoyed.
