Shalene Mixter

Clearly, Unaware - Poem by Shalene Mixter

Eyes begin to drop
Mind begins to stop
Body tingles
Dreams mingle

Heart dances
Lust romances
Irises flutter
Lips stutter

Memories at bay
Wishes replay
It wishes to stay

You begin to wake
You go back to remembering past mistakes
You are aware of your being
And you realize life is better dreaming
