Coalesce Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Coalesce

See a woman with a charming smile
in the August sun,
I feel so relaxed, I believe in everything
and in everyone, maybe the world has just begun.

Days in the past I danced in despair,
swallowed my fear and tried not to care,
sacrificed my faith in love, sacrificed my soul,
I was so determined not to lose my sense of control
but only lost more and more of who I was.

Her magnificent necklace now captivates
no less than the perfume on the nape of her neck;
her sun dress is such a glorious banner on the city avenue,
a declaration of eternal wonder and freedom!

I need an opportunity to speak,
to somehow drift exquisitely into her enchanted orbit,
To coalesce my essence into hers
until there is only one vital, indomitable existence!
