Come Gently Rain Poem by Manonton Dalan

Come Gently Rain

i feel sweetness i want to taste
i want it slowly, nothing to waste
there is a catch i must be aware
a claw of desire lurking so near
fear on edges, eagerness suppress
back to longing an empty space

glimpse far through my window
clouds heavy filled water, a cue
breeze kisses hungry leaves
pollen fly, beautiful flower saves
lightning burst in sky a warning
it's coming down in a haste of time
