Crescent Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Crescent

Rating: 5.0

From a distance
of a thousand miles
We see you smile
in the desolation
of a fading sky
A slight but comforting
gleam of hope
in the growing darkness
around us.

A beautiful metaphor of how a tiny sliver of light adds hope to darkness.

The crescent moon stands out as beacon in the surrounding darkness! Crisp and lovely!

gleam of hope in the growing darkness around us.... //.... A bright crescent against a dark sky gives rise to optimism and hope. Thanks for the poem and the picture of the evening sky. Thanks.

Yes there is comfort in the smile a traveler in the fading sky. This light speaks to the subtle beauty, soft as an eternal whisper. More so than the shimmering face of the full moon, brilliant and stark.
