Love denied and went far away bring about mixed inteense feelings while taking a stroll down the memory lane when in solitude. A great poem deserving classic of the day.

Quintessentially English love poem replete with mellifluous lines and beautiful imagery. It seems full of yearning for a bucolic past.

Beautiful poem. I know not what love is but it’s joy and pain are familiar to me.......

This is a love poem with sadness having touching expression and nice collocation. It is glad that it has been selected as the poem of the day.

Inter-line rhymes and the settings of a world long gone make this poem a peaceful but sad view of a life.
