Cursed Moment Poem by Jaishree Nair

Cursed Moment

Rating: 5.0

From riches to rags
he was forced by life's tags,
His very own, falling into life's dirty flow,
turned unknown...

His weakness in love favoured
their strength in war,
Stupefied and flabbergasted
into a hole he hibernated.

His mansion their casino now
His pockets -a hanging burden of lost hopes
Cursing the moment
of succumbing to poisoned words coated in honey.!

Never trust your own-he says now
Like chameleon -you never know
they may camouflage -he stutters
With heart in his mouth
and eyes downcast!

Hi Jaisree, A very well written poem, exuding the emotional turmoil fully; the lament, the remorse. But brevity is your hallmark- just stops short of narrating how he lost everything, leaving it for the read to guess. The poem concentrates on the emotional outpour. Very, very heart-rending. A 100++
