Practicing Poetess

Daring To Hope Again - Poem by Practicing Poetess

It hasn't even been a year
Since my heart was badly broken
And all the words I longed to say
Were put to rest, unspoken

Those nights I cried, in agony
As though my world would end
I only wanted to be held
By an understanding friend.

I've had much more than my fair share
Of disappointment, heartache
That I was doomed to loneliness
Was a feeling I could not shake.

But something just won't let me quit
There's light around the bend
So, my bruised heart and I move on,
Daring to hope again.

    Thank you, Prabir.
I hope that this one shows up.

So, my bruised heart and I move on,
    Daring to hope again......
Life is a journey from pessimism to optimism...
Conclusion is good...we have to move...Love

a bruised heart can be repaired once you are willing to share (Report)Reply

    Thank you, Louis.
The willingness to share is only half of the equation,
The real challenge is in finding a suitable person who is also willing to share. It's impossible to share alone! : -)
