Dark Defined - Poem by POET HUBITO

The day is dark,
a “nigger hanging”
on the snowy square.

Three days -
we hide,
till the body disappears.

The frigid willow
where we play,
Its brittle whips exposed,
crawls through our windows
like sight through crystal.

Even our blankets can’t mask the black
tears melting clay
into fisted molds with the same
dark dirt.
