Day Dreaming Poem by Patricia Gale

Day Dreaming

Rating: 4.3

When I am on a high wire ready to break
A throttle stuck in high
I look up to the sky and see the billowing clouds floating by
And sail away into a day dream

Into a field of wild flowers
On a blanket on the ground
Imagining the clouds are my flying carpet
Carrying me to a world far away

Soaring with the eagles
Seeing angels wings
Sliding down a rainbow
And back to earth I go

Gently landing back to reality
Breathing a deep sigh
And all is well
Till the next cliff hanger arrives

And then off to the clouds
Into a field of wild flowers
On a blanket on the ground
Imagining the clouds are my flying carpet
Carrying me to a world far away
