Time has slipped
away so quickly
in memory it was
yesterday.
We stood on a
silent hilltop
the day grew dark
clouds gathered
angels shed tears.
Returning today
the tears no
longer fall
I hear a heavenly
choir
your voice is amazing.
The poem reminds the fading symphony of a song sung sometime ago! Enjoyed!
after while.... we got peace and then.... we hear a heavenly Choir so we seize the sense of love after while/ nice your lines and meaning hidden between lines
I read all of the sensitive and astute comments of previous of this poem and can only add my voice to this chorus of approval. Your poem describes an almost magical moment in which two mortals bond and it appears angels witness this, even enhance it. I don't know how literal you intended the angelic presence to be - it is in that realm as AS IF which poetry celebrates so wonderfully. And the return to the location of this blessed moment is especially graced by a cosmic chorus. This is visionary poetry that takes us readers to a higher plane. With regard to my comment on the realm of AS IF, I think you'd like my Love Poem called HALF-TURNED PAGES.
Angels shedding tears must be a sight to behold. They must have been tears of joy. A song can be so beautiful that It can really take you into heavenly places. Lovely write.
Memories sweet reverberating and a poem making its ripples in my mind... A piece of nostalgic fineness, Heather.
Our memories can make life so sweet at times and others, so sad. But what would we do without memories? Lovely poem Heather.
Dear memories! What would be we without those? A beautiful poem to remind me of dears from other side of the worlds. Thank you!

Dropping rainfall is often perceived by poets as shedding tears by angels. Good that the poem ends in a happy note.
