Dear Frog - Poem by Binaya Kumar Mohanty

How dare you
approach me,
Dear frog!
Me, the anatomist cruel
know no love,
no compassion.

Dear cold blooded creature
the tender heart,
the feeble mind and
sluggish feet
need warmth
need amplexus
dare not approach me
my territory
the frigid trap of death,
Me, the anatomist there
to anesthetize you
for reason not known
none to blame, none
to excuse.

Me, the anatomist paid for
to feed my gaster
and quench my thirst
How dare you approach me!

With forceps in one hand
and scissors in other
unable to feel
the spikes in your nerve

Me, the anatomist
know not me
know not you
with the sharp scalpel
waiting to split open
the skull.

How dare you
approach me!
Me, the anatomist, cruel
Know no love, no compassion.

    Have you stopped coming here?
    Silence over three weeks overruled.

    (part 2)
The mental imbalance of human beings which lead to perversion and cruelty is depicted here with clinical accuracy. It is as if the poets reads into their mind: How and why they are bent upon inflicting injuries on others- why they hurt others mentally and bodily... Very profound anatomy of human mind. A perfect 100++

    Hi Binaya,

A clearly metaphorical poem, delving into the depths of human psyche with deep insight.

I will be very happy if Binaya Kumar Mohanty dissects the mind of Prativa Rani, instead of dissecting frogs. The frog is a slimy creature, but this person P.R. is like reptilian scum. It is shocking that people are unable to tolerate simple poetic criticism. No wonder they remain shrivelled batrachian dwarfs Already ReportedReply

    Rajendra Rout(11/26/2017 11:02:00 PM)

Rather Binaya sir should take you to an eye hospital in stead of disscting prativas' mind.i diss agree with you

When will idiots like Rupert stop coming to this site?
Has he read twinkle twinkle little star? ?
What does he know about poetry? He doesn't know how to respect others?
Did his parents not teach him about respecting elderly people?
He should stop harassing poets and go with a broom somewhere to a mall or a school and start cleaning. Poem Hunter is a forum for people with rich mind and sensible heart.
I request him to Please get out peacefully and let us live and read poetry here.

Bad people, uninvited guests, diseased dogs and non-human-beings like Rupert live longer than expected.
You shaould not mind getting a harsh comment from an idiot like Hentazia Rupertia Mualiasis (His Latrine name) who knows how to frame sentences in English and all his forefathers were sweepers, so always speaks of sweeping c. cleaning.
He would never be able to write a poem. Poetic nymph as he is.

I don't know why you wrote this poem, because the English is hard to read. It also shows that you must have been a Frog in your previous life, or you will be a Frog when you are reincarnated. The whole poem is slimy and can only be reviewed by other frogs. I don't blame you. When I read the comments on your poem, I get the feeling that all these flatterers are nothing but TOADS.

You are better off being a Lab Assistant.

I can not only tolerate but also greet and thank a critic who speaaks on poetic attributes, not the idiotic approaches on the mind of poets.
Read poetry, not the poet.Don't try to seek the sex of the poet, rather go through his or her words and the emotions that lie within, you are more interested in the curves than the rhymes. It's a fact. That's why I react.

    (11/20/2017 9:50:00 PM)

This Prativa Rani seems to be a lunatic. Cannot tolerate simple criticism. Look at the stream of filthy words issuing from this person's mouth. Must be stark raving mad!
