Death In Blind Spots Poem by Abderrahmane Dakir

Death In Blind Spots

We all witness the trucks in our city,
They could hit cyclists in atrocity.

Cycling is good for health and environment,
We are all agree, citizen and government.

Today is the worst day in our life forever,
Since our loved one, our loss is daughter, sister and mother.

My tears are drying but my heart is still crying,
She was known for hard working and all the time smiling.

In that dump truck blind spots,
Her body wasn't such as ghost.

For her memory, setting up our react,
Our hope is ending up stopping such as shame act.

It costs the life of too many cyclists,
All who have power, could you build safe streets?
