Death's Breath Poem by krissi b'williams

Death's Breath

Rating: 5.0

i was 4ever told to always count my blessings...
each and every day the sun was a shining..
for it was the golden message..
that every dark cloud had a silver lining...
never knew exactly that saying meant
until i was on my knee's
begging, with a heart full of plea's
praying, aloud, i lay there..exhausted and spent
as time and its odds were stacked against me
inhaling each breath
exhaling my own death........

I also think this poem is really so powerful and I can understand you trying to work with proverbs to get through life. Some proverbs clash with others. Great writing Krissi. 10 love Karin
