Demi-God - Poem by Eliza Kowalski

I hate how you slip
from my bones with ease;
your distaste for light's seeping praise
that weeps to close to the touch
you dread to call your own;
how my womb swells
from mind and matter's lack of home;
and while no one sees
you reach to heights of gods and
catch clouds
to build between us walls of fog.
