Devi Annapoorna Stotram - Part 3 Poem by Geeta Radhakrishna Menon

Devi Annapoorna Stotram - Part 3

Rating: 5.0

O Annapoorneshwari Devi!
A crore times more illuminating and lustrous
Than the sun, moon and fire put together,
Whose beautiful smile and lips resemble the soft moon beams,
Whose thick locks shine brightly with lustre,
One who has the golden white complexion of the sun and the moon,
One who holds in her hands -the beads, the book and the cradle!
One who resides in the holy city of Kaashi,
O Devi, compassionate and merciful as ever,
Bestow grace and benevolence as food in my begging bowl!

O Annapoorneshwari Devi!
Saviour of the kshatriyas,
Fearless,
Mother of empathy,
Giver of moksha,
Forever auspicious,
One who projects the magnificence of Siva,
One who condemned King Daksha,
Bestower of good health and well being!
One who resides in the holy city of Kaashi,
O Devi, compassionate and merciful as ever,
Bestow grace and benevolence as food in my begging bowl!

.O Annapoorneshwari Devi!
Absolute and Supreme!
The sweet heart and the very core of Sankara!
Please put in my begging bowl
Spiritual knowledge and detachment from worldly affairs,
My mother is Parvati -my father is Maheshvara -
My relatives are the Shiva bhaktas and
I am the native of the three worlds!
