Do I Please Them? Poem by April DOWN

Do I Please Them?

Rating: 4.8

Is my smile wide enough?
Can it impress my personality onto you
Even though it may be suppressed

Does my image excite?
Or are these experimental expectations
Ever changing.

We all mimic the rest
One face is all faces
In the attempt of individuality

I sought nothing but myself
Yet I am a stranger
And I yearn for your adoration

Essentially I am voided
A faceless member of the horde
Yet I ascertain I am special somehow
