Don't Forbid Or Forbid
ঘাসের নির্লিপ্ত বুকে
শারদীয় শিশিরের উন্মুক্ত মিলন
ডানা মেলে উড়ে চলে মৌমাছি
রবীন্দ্র সংগীতের তালে তালে
জোছনাহীন নিয়ন আলোতে
ত্যাগের মহিমায় জোনাকি
সরোদের জোরালো বাচ্যে
বলে- বিদায় বিয়ে বিড়ম্বনা!
নিস্তেজ, নীরব পীড়ন মঠ-
এ মনোজ অমিল পরিণয়!
তবে নিষিদ্ধ না হোক- এ প্রেম,
প্রেমিকার হাসি, অবিরত চাহনি,
নিষিদ্ধ না হোক- প্রেমিকার এ প্রস্থান
আর সদা সুখময় পুরোনো দিনের স্মৃতি
হ্যাঁ, নিষিদ্ধ হোক- ধুঁকে মরা প্রেমিকের ফাঁসি,
অভিসারে জোছনা প্রীতি আর করুণার হাসি

Without moon in the neon lights
Fireflies sacrifice themselves happily
In the durable voices of Sarod
Say- Farewell marriage mortification!
Dull, silent torture cloister-
This mental disagreed matrimonial!
But let not be forbidden - love,
Inamorata's smile, constant staring,
Let not be forbidden - the departure of the lover
And always happy memories of the old days
Yes, let be forbidden - hanging of a lovelorn lover,
Loving moonlit tryst and the smiling of pity
