Don't Waste Your Love Poem by Practicing Poetess

Don't Waste Your Love

Rating: 5.0

Although love-feelings make you high,
Endorphins lift you to the sky,
Don't throw your love away, my friend
On a relationship dead-end.

Love needs to be reciprocal;
If real, it should be mutual.
Go take it where it's really needed,
Where it will be appreciated.

Love so often is that one way street to nowhere! So let us only travel on the two way street to somewhere wonderful. This wonderful poem has arrived!

I salute you, Cap'n, for your insightful comment! People often forget the simple, common-sense rule of love: The other person must be at least as interested in you, as you are in them. All it takes is only one unwilling person to kill any possibility of love. Thanks for commenting!

As always, thank-you, Sandra! There would be fewer broken hearts if the world would heed what you call sage advice.
