Everybody Has Had Somebody
Everybody Has Had Somebody
Everybody has had somebody
Past or present, as you will.
Lives are shaped by those we meet
Day by day.
Shadows from the darkest moments
Live in every heart;
Lonely people have known people
Along the way.
Everybody wants somebody
To stand beside them strong and true.
Everybody needs somebody-
I as well as you.
I guess you never realized
Before it was too late
That, for me, that somebody
Could have been you.
The illustration in the book is of a table set for two
with a candle that had burned down to the nub?
