Everyday poem
26-04-2026
A tiny firefly
Winged her way
In the bushes
She sees millions of stars in the dark sky
Blinking far away
Hey there!
How many are you
Let me count.
I can see you
But, do you see me?
Descend on earth
And we can be friends.

It is so delightful to watch fireflies and stars as friends on dark summer nights.

Truly enjoyed the childlike innocence of this poem. As I was reading it, I couldn't help thinking of the film E.T.

Wonderful poem! ! ! Absolutely brilliant! Maybe fireflies do wonder if stars are just distant and far brighter versions of themselves : ) Thank you for sharing this poem!
